Alan Baxter has been running this unique cruise for 18 years. After many years of fishing holidays in Wanaka, he moved to the iconic fishing spot in 1999 to operate a fish and cruise business on the lake. 18 years later and many satisfied clients of all ages from all corners of the world – and that passion is still there.
The cruise includes fly fishing, trolling or spinning, exploring the islands, the bush and beaches. Winter, spring, summer or autumn, Lake Wanaka is a magic part of the country to explore and enjoy. They supply all equipment needed for fishing, including sunscreen onboard for those hot summer days.
If you are taking a scenic walk, ensure to bring good walking footwear and a jacket for those cooler days. Wear warm clothing for winter fishing trips. Tea & coffee is also included onboard plus muffins & biscuits. Most importantly... don't forget your camera!

Hunting in New Zealand with Simon from Cardrona Outfitters truly was a hunt of a lifetime, from hunting Fallow bucks in the beautiful Cardrona Valley, to hunting Chamois and Tahr up in the majestic Alps of the west coast!
